The Game Star League had its first playday today, all the games were intense and exciting. GosuGamers has chosen a few of the best to report on, and here they are.

ToT)Gohan( vs. DkH.Go0dy

Game One
This game was played on BlueStorm with Gohan warping in at the lower position and GoOdy at the top. Both players opened with a strong 2 gate build to an expansion at their naturals. There was some intense zealot micro happening at the entrance to Gohans base, as GoOdy tried to pick off some probes. After this they both grabbed their mineral expansions trying to get their economies going. They both threw up some more gateways getting ready for the real battles.

After a fight in the middle which came out on GoOdys side he pushed right into Gohans mineral only expansion and destroyed it, he then marched on to his natural destroying that too before Gohan could push him back. Gohan was now down by quite a bit. They both teched to arbiters and began to fight it out in the middle, some really impressive stasis micro was seen by both players. Even with being down by 2 expos Gohan somehow managed to win this one with some great micro. 1-0 for the Polish member of ToT).

Game Two
The second game was played on Python with Gohan at 6 and GoOdy at 3. Once again both players mirrored their builds, this time with 1 gate tech to expo. Gohan chose to go with a strong reaver build first getting an observer for any dark templars that might come his way. The first battle took place out in the middle, GoOdy was able to take down Gohans army with a very nice flank. He pushed right into Gohans natural and nearly destroyed him, but for the Polish players reavers he would have. Soon after Gohan was able to take him down with his army and a couple of reavers. 2-0 for Gohan.

HoRRoR.T-ScT- vs MYM.Dreiven

Game One
The map was BlueStorm the Terran HoRRoR was at the top position with the Polish Protoss Dreiven at the bottom. HoRRoR opened with a 2 factory build while Dreiven opted for the classic Protoss 1 gate goons. HoRRoR quickly pumped out some vultures and snuck them into Dreivens base picking off probes and some goons.

He then proceeded to set up a push at his natural which destroyed his nexus, Dreiven quickly put another up and grabbed his mineral. Unfortunately for the Protoss HoRRoR was able to come back and kill his natural once again, then easily walk over him. 1-0 for the German Terran.

Game Two
Played on Longinus with Dreiven at 6 and HoRRoR at 3. They both went with the same builds as the last game, Dreiven this time putting the pressure on his opponent early with some goons. He destroyed his wall twice and it looked like he would be able to take this game without much more effort.

But instead of focusing on his own base HoRRoR sent his vultures straight to Dreivens taking down some probes once again, but this time to a even more horrifying effect. He macroed up some tanks to go with his vultures and expanded. By now it was too late for the Protoss player, HoRRoR pushed into his base and ended it taking his opponent down with a 2-0 victory.

A Great First Set

All the games played today were very impressive and hard fought for the victors. Gohan told GosuGamers that he was very worried about his first game, especially since he lost two expansions and the first battle that was fought. He wished GoOdy luck in all his future matches as well as a GG.

HoRRoR told us he was very happy with his play today, even though he was very nervous about his match on BlueStorm. He said that obviously his practice on the map paid off, and that playing the second game on Longinus was good since he was confident on that particular map.
