ESL One Katowice: EnVyUs to go through, Titan to go home

As group B comes to an end, one of the teams has come on top, while another being eliminated.

The winners match featured the last major winners EnVyUs and the underdog team, LGB eSports. The game was played on de_cache where the French team had an initial advantage starting at the CT side. However, the Norwegian team proved that they are still contenders for the group as they managed to take 6 rounds on T side. Going into the second half we could only expect that EnVyUs show why they are considered as the best roamers in this game, and that exactly happened. The match was closed with a 16-8 scoreline where LGB was constantly pushed down to eco and force buy rounds. EnVyUs is the first team that has qualified for the Playoffs, while LGB will have to look for their chance in an upcoming match.

The elimination match of group B saw Titan and Penta Sports battling out for survival. The map was the same as the winners match, de_cache. The German team started off very convincingly by taking 11 rounds on CT side and the French team was knocked down heavily as they they went into second half by losing the pistol round. In the end it turned out that the 4 rounds was their final score as the score was 16-4 for Penta. Titan is the first team to be sent packing home from this event.
