Being able to play online against multiple platforms is such an important part of the gaming landscape now. That means these functionalities are highly sought-after. With the WWE 2K24 release date nearly here, fans are wondering if this has been implemented in the latest title.
WWE 2K23 didn’t have crossplay. However, 2K has been expanding into this area in their other game series, such as in NBA 2K24. So, find out if WWE 2K24 has cross platform and crossplay capabilities below.

Yes, WWE 2K24 is cross platform. We mean this in the sense that the game is available across multiple platforms. PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, and PC are all covered.
It is also cross platform as cross-progression is enabled between the same console families. As confirmed on the official WWE 2K24 FAQ page, cross-progression and a shared VC wallet will apply to PlayStation and Xbox families. This means any progress made in the game and your wallet balance can be transferred between old-generation and current-gen consoles. PS4 data can be moved to PS5, and Xbox One data to Xbox X|S. However, data can’t move between PlayStation and Xbox.
Additionally, DLC items will not carry over between generations.
Does WWE 2K24 have crossplay?
Unfortunately, WWE 2K24 does not have crossplay. This was confirmed in an interview by wccftech.com with gameplay producer Bryan Williams. Despite other 2K titles progressing in this area, wrestling fans will have to wait at least another year before it is introduced.
Crossplay refers to the functions where online multiplayer modes match up players from across differing platforms. This sees PlayStation, Xbox, and PC users all pitted against each other.
The main mode WWE 2K24 would benefit from crossplay is MyFACTION, with its online multiplayer matches, including the new ranked QuickPlay. We remain optimistic that next year’s title will implement the feature!
