If you are on the hunt for ancient Pokemon, you might want to know all the legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Indigo Disk. You might also want to know all the starter Pokemon in Pokemon Indigo Disk.

Are there Fossil Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC?

Yes. There are Fossil Pokemon in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Disk DLC. These Pokemon work a little differently than they did in the past. Instead of being resurrected using some technology in a lab, they are found in the Blueberry Academy Terarium. That’s right, you no longer need to go out of your way to get these Pokemon.

The only Fossil Pokémon in the games are Cranidos and Shieldon. Instead of being available in both games, these Pokemon are version exclusive Pokemon. If you want to catch Shieldon, you need to have Pokémon Violet. If you want to catch Cranidos, you need to have Pokémon Scarlet. The other Pokemon is only available through trade.

This is an interesting new feature for the DLC since past games have always required you to gather a fossil to obtain the Mon. Even Pokemon Sword and Shield had fossils to obtain. Both of these Pokemon can be found in the Canyon Biome of the Terarium and are different than the ancient Paradox Pokemon like Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt.

Unova or bust

Both of the Fossil Pokemon in the Indigo Disk DLC come from the Unova Region. This is because Blueberry Academy is actually located in the Unova Region of the Pokemon world. There are no new fossil Pokemon in the Indigo Disk DLC.

Be sure to evolve your ancient Pokemon once you have caught them. Shieldon can evolve into Bastiodon and Cranidos will evolve into Rampardos.

That is everything you need to know about these ancient Pokemon. Be sure to check out how to catch and evolve Shieldon in Pokemon Indigo Disk. You can also check out how to catch and evolve Beldum in Pokemon Indigo Disk.
