Honkai Star Rail: Best Builds and Light Cones For Robin

Being a live-service game, Honkai: Star Rail gets updated frequently, which introduces various new characters and enemies to the game. Some of these enemies bring unique mechanics to the table, and you only have a chance of winning against them if you choose some specific DPS units.

Every character has a unique phone case that fully displays their wonderful personality in Honkai: Star Rail. But who has the best one?
PostsWhile a DPS unit's value gets determined by the enemy you face, it's completely different for Harmony units, as they usually stay on top all the time. This makes it quite important to build Robin, a five-star Physical Harmony unit, properly on your account.
Best Robin Relics And Planar Ornaments
Unfortunately, with the current Relics present in Honkai: Star Rail, there's no four-piece set that suits Robin perfectly. Due to this, some of the best relics you can use on her are a combination of two sets with two-piece bonuses:
Type
Name
Reason For Synergy With Robin
Relics
Two-Piece Musketeer Of Wild Wheat
During Robin's Ultimate, she deals extra DMG based on her ATK, but her Crit Rate and DMG for this type of DMG stay fixed. This leads to ATK being the most sought-after stat for her.
Both these two-piece bonuses give you some extra ATK, making them a great fit on Robin.
Two-Piece Prisoner In Deep Confinement
Two-Piece Champion Of Streetwise Boxing
You can also try to go for a two-piece of this set as it can provide her with some Physical DMG Bonus. However, this might not be too useful, and it's usually better to just go for as much ATK as possible.
Planar Ornaments
Sprightly Vonwacq
Sprightly Vonwacq is the BIS (best in slot) ornament set for Robin as it increases her Energy Regeneration Rate while also advancing her movement forward at the start of the battle.
Combined with the movement advance from her kit, you're almost guaranteed to have Robin be the first character to take action in every battle.
Penacony, Land Of The Dreams
On the other hand, if you're planning to use Robin alongside a Physical DPS like Clara or Sushang, you can use this set to get some extra DMG bonus for them while keeping the Energy Regeneration.
Space Sealing Station
If you want to build Robin purely on damage to get as much value out of her Ultimate as possible, you can go for this set to get an extra 24 percent ATK for free.
Robin Relic Stat Priority
While you might not have many choices when it comes to Relics while building Robin, you have quite a few for her actual stats. Most Harmony characters don't need you to get any specific stats on them, but it's the opposite for Robin:
Type
Main Stat Priority
Sub Stat Priority
Head
HP
ATK Percent > SPD > HP Percent > DEF Percent
Hands
ATK
ATK Percent > SPD > HP Percent > DEF Percent
Body
ATK Percent
SPD > HP Percent > DEF Percent
Feet
ATK Percent > SPD
ATK Percent > SPD > HP Percent > DEF Percent
Planar Ornament
ATK Percent > Physical DMG Bonus
ATK Percent > SPD > HP Percent > DEF Percent
Link Rope
Energy Regeneration Rate
ATK Percent > SPD > HP Percent > DEF Percent
Ideally, you'd want to stack as much ATK Percent on Robin as possible, but you can go for SPD boots if you're having a lot of issues with her Energy regeneration. This will likely happen if you're using her in a non-follow-up-attack team. The best-case scenario is to get some SPD on the sub-stats instead.
Physical DMG Bonus is mostly only viable if you have her on Eidolon six, but you can still use it if the rest of your main stats are ATK Percent.
Best Robin Light Cones
- Flowing Nightglow
- Past Self In Mirror
- For Tomorrow's Journey
- Dreamville Adventure
- Planetary Rendezvous
- Carve The Moon, Weave The Clouds
With the amount of Harmony characters released in Honkai: Star Rail, it's not a surprise that Robin has quite a few choices. However, as you'd expect, her signature Light Cone tops the list quite easily since it's tailor-made for her. Here's the main reason for each Light Cone mentioned above to be good for her:
Flowing Nightglow
Apart from removing her Energy problems, this Light Cone also increases Robin's overall DMG in her Ultimate while also giving her allies a decent buff.
Past Self In Mirror
The Break Effect from this one might be a little useless on her, but the party-wide DMG bonus and the extra Energy make it the second-best choice for her.
For Tomorrow's Journey
This four-star Light Cone is also tailor-made for Robin, giving her ATK and increasing her DMG after using the Ultimate.
Dreamville Adventure
Since Robin can't use any abilities for a while after using her Ultimate, this can go well if you plan to use her with DPS that rely on their Ultimate for most of the damage.
Planetary Rendezvous
This Light Cone can be great, much like the Penacony ornament set, if you plan on using Robin alongside a Physical DPS unit.
Carve The Moon, Weave The Clouds
Finally, this Light Cone is good for almost any Harmony character due to the variety of buffs it can provide.
Robin Trace Priority
HoYoverse games are known for increasing the paragraphs explaining a character's ability as the game gets older, which is mostly because the kits get more complicated. However, Robin is a breath of fresh air among this since her kit is quite straightforward to understand. Here are the general things you need to know:
- Her Skill gives a massive DMG bonus to all her allies.
- She gives some Crit DMG bonus to her allies with her talent, while giving some more for follow-up attacks specifically.
- Robin's Ultimate allows every ally to take a turn instantly while she enters the Concerto state. In this state, she can't take action but deals extra DMG whenever an ally hits the enemy.
As you can see from above, Robin's Ultimate is the most important part of her kit, making it the first trace that you need to upgrade. She also increases her entire party's ATK during this ability, which is the main multiplier that gets increased with the levels apart from her own damage.
Followed by the Ultimate, you can upgrade Robin's Skill and then the Talent. While the talent provides extra Crit DMG, it's a lot less compared to the DMG bonus from the Skill. Moreover, you can't increase the Energy she gains from other allies' attacks through these upgrades.
You don't necessarily have to upgrade Robin's Basic Attack, but it's still recommended to get it to level four.
This is mainly because you have to use Basic Attacks to get her Ultimate faster.
