A prime example of this is the Fork of Horripilation from the Shivering Isles DLC. The quest giver simply asks you to retrieve a fork for him. At first, it seems almost too easy, but there might be more to it than meets the eye, who knows?

How To Start The Fork Of Horripilation Quest

In order to start the Fork of Horripilation quest, you need to locate a character called Big Head, who can be found at the Bliss. He is usually at his house, just east of the town.

Interact with him, and he will begin speaking about the Fork of Horripilation. After he finishes, make sure to pick the Fork dialogue option to trigger the quest.

How To Find The Fork Of Horripilation

Now, before you can find the mysterious fork for Big Head, you need to acquire more information about it. Big Head will send you to the beggar Bowling, who can be found at Crucible, to ask about it.

After you complete the interaction with the beggar, he will direct you to a camp located at the very west of the map called Longtooth Camp.

Once you reach the camp, you will find these people fighting. You can either wait for them to kill each other or intervene and kill them all.

Either way, once the fight is over, you can loot the fork from the corpse of one of the people.

Sometimes, the fork's location might change depending on how the fight goes, but overall, the quest marker should point you to it.

How To Complete The Fork Of Horripilation Quest

After you get the fork, head back to Big Head's location and speak to him. Give him the fork, and he will be pleased. As your reward, he will let you choose between three secrets that you can learn: Blade, Sneak, or Alchemy.

Whichever you choose, you will receive a skill increase in that area, and this will complete the quest.
