Finding All The Animal Skins Is Easy With Our Location Guide For Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced
In Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, you'll need to hunt down quite a few different animals if you want to improve Edward Kenway's gear. From rabbits to crocodiles to massive sharks, there's a lot to track down throughout the Caribbean.
This can make things a bit of a headache, as all of your crafting upgrades are tied to the animal skins you get from skinning their corpses. Because of this, you'll want to be able to find them easily and early on to ensure you can carry as many bullets, pistols, and sleep darts as possible. Here is where to find all the animals so you can farm their crafting materials.
All Animal Locations
Before we break down their locations, it should be noted that many of these animals can appear across multiple islands or towns. Because of this, we're just going to list their locations, coordinates for where to find them, and any additional details you might need for hunting them.
Remember, some animals will be hostile and will attack you the moment you come within range. You can assassinate most animals, so use this to your advantage to quickly eliminate them and save yourself some time. This section will focus on all the land-based animals you'll end up hunting. Some of which are way more common than others, making it a bit tricky to efficiently farm them for gear.
Once you have the animal skins you need, open up your menu and select the anvil icon underneath your gear. This will bring you to the crafting menu where you can see what materials are needed for specific upgrades, along with the ability to improve your gear if you have the required skins. Alternatively, you can always sell the skins at vendors or use them to purchase unique cosmetics at the Treasure Dealer at the Great Inagua.

Harpoon Fish Locations
The section on hunting animals is tied to using the harpoon boat to kill various big-game fish throughout the sea. These range from sharks to massive whales, all of which you'll need to kill a few times to get the materials needed for your upgrades. Where things get tricky as some fish are basically impossible to catch without upgrading your harpoon's damage, storage, and your boat's durability.
Due to this, we will list what upgrades we think you'll need to successfully complete this hunt to ensure you can acquire the crafting materials from these animals. We will also list only one area where they spawn; however, you can find quite a few of them in various areas around the Caribbean.

When it comes to harpoon hunting, you'll want to ensure that you perform a perfect harpoon shot to deal extra damage to whatever you're fighting. This is done by throwing the harpoon right as the diamond crosshair flashes when the outer diamond lines up with the inner diamond. Doing so will cause you to toss out a much stronger harpoon, allowing you to more efficiently kill your target.
