Players can find the Shield of Want within the Smouldering Lake area, specifically close to the entrance of the Demon King’s boss battle and the nearby Demon Ruins bonfire.

Caution is advised as players navigate this hazardous landscape, home to a colossal stone worm that is immune to standard weapon damage and a dangerous Ballista that fires massive projectiles. Before reaching the Demon King’s arena, players should take a right turn near a large tree where they will find the coveted Shield. Stacking the Shield of Want

The effects of the Shield of Want can indeed be stacked, allowing for an enhanced Soul acquisition rate. By equipping two Shields of Want, players can effectively double their Soul gain to a remarkable 40%.However, this typically requires progressing to New Game Plus (NG+) or utilizing cheats to acquire a second shield.

Additionally, players can amplify their Soul earnings further by wearing the Covetous Silver Serpent Ring alongside the Symbol of Avarice headpiece. Both of these items are designed to enhance Soul gain, although the latter comes with a trade-off: it progressively drains the player’s health.

When combining these powerful items, players can almost double the Souls earned per enemy defeat. This strategy is particularly advantageous when striving to improve stats for wielding high-requirement weapons like the Moonlight Greatsword, which demands an impressive 26 Intelligence.
