The announcements was tweeted by TIG writer Ethan Ahn this morning. Miya has been a member of Axiom eSports since November last year.

Originally a member of SlayerS before the team disbanded on November 3rd, Miya has been having mixed results throughout his career. During 2012, he would drift in and out of Code A, never breaking past the Ro48. The top ten placement in 2012 WCS Korea nationals remains as his highest achievement.

After SlayerS' dissolution, Miya was teamless for two weeks before signing with recently-founded Axiom eSports. Since then, his tournament appearances have been even more sporadical and as it appears from one Ethan Ahn's tweet, the Zerg has decided to end his career.

It was further revealed that the announcements about Miya's retirement about was supposed to be released after the GSTL match between Axiom-Acer and Azubu. Consequently, this breaking of the news promted a response from team sponsor TotalBiscuit and manager Olimoley both of whom responded to the reddit thread about Miya's retirement, which in return resulted in Ethan Ahn apologizing for impairing aforementioned official plans.
