FiSheYe started very good in the tournament. After beating the favourised Draco[pG] it was obvious that you could count on him. He further pointed out how strong he was by beating Daaman in an intense 2:1-Series. Although his performance so far was very impressive, SunCow(GN) ended Freddie's Killing Spree, which made him go to the Loserbracket. There he faced ret who was considered a possible winner of this TLT, but FiSheYe won this bo1 and secured himself at least 50$.
But then Testie was waiting.
The random player said himself, that he didn't practice for the event, but still Testie has been one of the best foreign players in a while now, so it was clear that he would play a role in the run for the money.
Both played a great game, too bad it was best-of-1, but Testie for sure deserved the win. After that, another great player was waiting: The australian pro-gamer Peter "Legionnaire" Neate.
This game was played best-of-3 and it was a pretty good, straight 2:0 with Testie as the winner.
The next opponent awaiting was a rather unknown one - Geoff "controL" Robinson has, for sure, now made himself a name with his performance in this tourney. He got knocked out of the Winnerbracket quite early by another surprise in the tourney: SunCow. But, controL definitely showded us what a comeback is: 3wD.LameR, SW)55 and StinGeR were on his way in the LB and he's beaten them all until he finally met SunCow again and this time he had the upper hand - a 2:1 was the result.
Every series has an ending tho, meaning Testie was the one that finally made it an end and beat controL 2:0
Testie this way made it to the Loserbracket-Final to meet Assem, another eNature-member. Assem somehow managed to hide himself from the foreign scene. That means he's no active poster at any community-page, nor does he like to give interviews. But still, since he's in Korea, you could know that he might have a decent shot at the money. Testie and Assem met in Winnerbracket Round 2 already when Assem won 2:0 and sent Testie into the Loserbracket. However, who expected Assem to beat Testie that easily in the Loserbracket-Final again, was plain wrong. This time Testie put some more skill into the game and as a result the games were very close so far: A 2:2 is the latest result for today. Testie and Assem decided on postponing the last game of this intense LB-final to tomorrow.
That means the winner of this game will tomorrow face Advokate[S2]. Before the final tournament started, it was uncertain if SW)55 and/or yan_ukr, who later turned out to be Advokate, were allowed to play, because they were meant to be the same person. Later yan_ukr turned out to be a smurf and both were allowed to play. a2kat/a2[S2] made himself an international name when he did an awesome performance at World Cyber Games: San Francisco when he even knocked ToT)Mondragon( out of the tournament. In this event he has yet to lose a best-of. So far he has beaten top players, such as StinGeR, HellGhost and Assem. After Day 1 of TLT we decided that Assem was the winner of the day, because only people closely related to a2 thought he could beat the american pro-gamer. He proved us wrong and did a great job beating Assem 3:2, securing himself a place in the Grand Final and at least 650$ price money.
Tomorrow will be the day when Testie / Assem and Advokate will play for honor and 1000$ cash.
A great event is coming to an end, let us hope » teamliquid won't let us wait so long again until the next tour starts.
