It has been a hard day's night for the players, the administrators and the asided journalists covering this first night of Team Liquid Tour 2. The neverending administrational work by Ilvy and ErkenBrand, the great shoutcasting of BlaznJason and iv.grummel, but also the hard work of our own machines ZoXXeR and Mandalor here at GosuGamers. And last but not least, this could not have been done without the terrific players who are there, playing in one of the most important and toughest tournament of the year. Their constant acceptance of us journalists doing interviews, cracking up jokes and seems to be having a blast doing something they really love.
The first beta test of our new » GosuBet was very succesful, with a lot of users betting on their favoured player. Minerals were handed out, laughters and disappointments depending on which player you betted for were heard, and it looks very promising for the future.
As Legionnaire said in our interview with him, the American player Assem who plays under the nickname Dhalsim has had a really impressive tournament so far. In his way to the Winner Bracket final he eliminated players like Testie,
Mondragon and his close friend Legionnaire. Three extremely imressive wins from the underrated player, as Legionnaire says in the interview. "The spider has awoken!" He is in the Winner Bracket final, where he is going to face another impressive face - Yan_ukr, who was unsure to take part as the TLT administration thought he was fishy.
The community are always smart and good in finding out smurfs when they see one. UrBaseRBelong2Us was one nut they could not crack. But as the tournament went further and people analyzed his playing style and his way of "speaking", people began to wonder if it was not StinGeR. Nothing is officially announced yet, but many believe it is him and some say UrBaseRBelong2Us himself said something about it.
Tomorrow it will all be settled - who will win Team Liquid Tour Season 2? There are many waiting in the Loser Bracket to come up and play against Assem or Yan_ukr, depending on who wins the WB final.
