Will try to prove his strong current form: Kaldi
After the first edition of Challengestone we already knew that both winner Brian Kibler as well as runner-up Trump would come back for the second one. Now, the rest of the player pool has been announced.
Challengestone is an alternative Hearthstone tournament, developed and produced by Octavian "Kripparrian" Morosan, underflowR and Tempo Storm. It focuses mainly on deck building instead of pure execution. For example, in the first Challengestone tournament, players were allowed to only include spells with even mana cost and creatures with uneven attack as well as weapons. Brian Kibler thus could show all the experience he has with collectible card games, winning over Jeffrey "Trump" Shih with 4-3 in a very close final.
The next tournament now features an interesting mix of players. There are two competitive powerhouses in Aleksandr "Kolento" Malsh and Austin "SilentStorm" Li as well as Fnatic's Jökull "Kaldi" Jóhannsson, who showed some very decent results recently. Next on the list we have Kacem "Noxious" Khilaji and Travis "Freshca" Boyer, who are well-known for interesting, sometimes even gimmicky deck-building and thus might be a very exciting addition to the player pool. Lastly, Tempo Storm's new player Haiyun "Eloise" Tang will make her first showing while being signed for a western team.
Challengestone #2 is coming at us 27th/28th of June, the challenge itself will be revealed a couple hours before the event.
