Group B for the EMS One Summer series begins today at 18:00CET. The first match of the day will be between Fnatic and RoX.KIS.
After consecutively defeating two opponents, Quantic Gaming has qualified for the offline playoffs of EMS One and will be flying out to Poland next month to compete in the event.
Teams remaining in Group A, Flipside, Netolic.ru and Imaginary Gaming will be going against one another in the loser bracket of the group on the 24th of June. The last team standing will join Quantic Gaming as the representative from Group A. The third placer will also be placed into a tiebreaker for a second chance at redemption later on.
Group B will be starting today with Infernity, Keita, RoX.KIS and Pain.Int in it.
Due to recent events, RoX.KIS may no longer be able to play with Solo in EMS One. Rumors have it that ESL may be banning Solo from competing in EMS One events. We reached out to EMS One organizers and they told us that they have not come to a definite conclusion on what to do with the Solo case.
Following the first match of the day, which is between Fnatic and RoX.KIS, iNfernity will play versus Keita Gaming at 19:00 CEST.
The groupstage will be played in a double elimination format with twelve teams spread out onto three groups. The top two placers of each groups will qualify for Poland have a part of their flight cost to Poland reimbursed by ESL. Third placers of each group and the best fourth placing team (with best map difference) will have to play a tiebreaker to qualify as the eighth.
-Update-
TpoH is replacing Solo for the game against Fnatic.EU.
