giveitem
The giveitem command instantly adds any collectible, trinket, card, or pill to your inventory. It’s perfect for testing powerful item combinations or experimenting with different builds.
spawn
Use spawn to create enemies, bosses, pickups, or objects inside the current room. This command is especially useful for practicing difficult encounters without playing through an entire run.
stage
The stage command lets you jump directly to another floor. It’s an excellent way to practice later chapters or boss fights without replaying the early game.
debug
The debug command enables various testing features, including:
- Invincibility
- Increased damage
- Infinite active item charge
- Visible hitboxes
These options make it easier to test mechanics or learn boss attack patterns.
Special Seed Codes
If you’re playing on console or simply prefer modifying runs without using the debug console, special seed codes provide unique gameplay effects.

Although the debug console is intended for testing and experimentation, some commands can permanently affect your game.
Use extra caution with commands such as:
- eggs
- challenge
- restart
- spawn
- stage
Certain commands may interrupt your current run, teleport you into invalid rooms, unlock permanent modifiers, or cause unexpected behavior. Before experimenting extensively, it’s a good idea to create a backup of your save files.
The debug console is one of the most useful features available in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. Whether you’re practicing bosses, testing item synergies, or simply having fun with unusual builds, console commands and special seed codes provide countless ways to customize your experience.
