Arknights Yu Guide | Best guide to build Yu in Arknights
Today we will discuss one of the latest characters to appear in all our Arknights accounts, Yu, an experienced chef from Yan who is currently visiting friends and family on Rhodes Island, offering culinary support during his stay. Please, HyperGryph, bring him to Arknights: Endfield too, although this is merely a personal request... We are dealing with a fierce chef who is unable to choose between cooking and battle. 6 stars operator, male, Defender and, specifically, a Primal Protector. Remember: as a Primal Protector we can infer that he will be able to block up to 3 characters and inflict Elemental Injury (Elemental Burn Damage in his case).
His skills, as we will see shortly, make him a very good support who will buff all his teammates. We will get to know these teammates later with their best synergies, but first let's look at his talents. Also, if you want to check it out for yourself in the game, LootBar can help you with any of the upcoming characters appearing in Arknights!

Which are Yu's talents?
Below we will discuss Yu's two talents:
1) You Feed Me, I Feed You: When blocking enemies, Yu gains Sanctuary, which means self-sustain; blocked enemies receive Arts damage and Burn damage.
2) Midst Markets, Dragons Dwell: If 4 or more operators are on the field recovers Max HP as both HP and Elemental Injury per second.
While both talents are truly positive, the downside of the first is that it only works when blocking enemies, which means it is not potentially strong in all situations and is only useful in certain circumstances. On the other hand, the second talent is a reliable passive source that will always help our entire environment and make us much stronger.
Which are Yu's Skills?
Skill 1: Today's Host. Yu becomes more likely to be attacked. Increases his HP/DEF and the attackers take Burn Damage when hitting him.
Skill 2: For Guests, Bountiful Gifts. It damages all enemies in the area around it and moves them to its position, making it very good for crowd control. Furthermore, he gains extra block count (+2), HP and ATK and his Normal Attacks deal Arts damage.
Skill 3: Enter the Stove's Palm. It buffs Max HP, ATK and DEF and applies Talent 2 (Midst Markets, Dragons Dwell) to all allies. In addition, it creates a wall of fire on the map that works in two different ways:
Allied Arts through it deal bonus Burn damage.
Enemy projectiles that go through it have a chance to be destroyed.
If you have any doubts about the priority when maxing out these skills, you should proceed as follows: S3 > S2 > S1.
You could even consider leveling up S2 before S3, since S3 is for more complicated and advanced content. However, its importance is undoubtedly greater, which is why it is specified that way. Nevertheless, if you decide to max out your S2 first, it's not a bad decision and no one will look down on "Yu"... Just please, don't touch S1 with a bargepole, as it's not at all useful and you won't use it at all.
But without a doubt, your priority should be to stop by LootBar if you're just a few rolls away from getting the character you want, we are undoubtedly the best option to help you!

Which modules should you use with Yu?
The topic of modules is truly interesting in the world of Arknights and offers a lot of variability and fun. Sadly, as many of you know, we have to leave this section on blank because, as of today, not even in China do Primal Defenders have any dedicated modules. We'll just have to hope that they receive some kind of upgrade in the future. However, this is not entirely negative, and there is no need to be pessimistic, since the character we are dealing with is so good that it works just as well without this addition. Isn't that incredible?
Yu's best teams
We'll talk about some of his best teammates, but Yu's versatility makes him a very interesting character in many different compositions. Here are a few:
First of all, you can choose between Angelina and Suzuran to amplify and improve your Arts damage.
Then your next option is to select between Saria and Kal'tsit to get extra sustain and heals for your whole team. And finally, you should consider options such as Eyjafjalla and Ifrit, as Yu locks enemies down and they burn them away.
With all these characters, Yu will excel in all his team variations and will be an important and relevant piece, I have no doubt!
Another very good option that is widely discussed and suggested in the Community is to pair Yu with Goldenglow and Lappland Alter. It's a really strong and interesting option that I urge all of you who have decided to go for our new favorite character to try!
However, at last, my most personal recommendation is that you try to adapt the character to your tastes, pair him with your favourite characters, and enjoy the game as it should be enjoyed!
Meta is very important and that's why we're here, but remember that enjoying the game is even more important.
Conclusion
In short, all of you who have obtained Yu can consider yourselves lucky, as we are dealing with a truly great character who is undoubtedly an important addition to any account. It is also important not to leave the possibility of winning or losing a character to chance, and we recommend that you take advantage of the great prices at LootBar for Arknights Top Up!
We're talking about a character who is practically multitasking. Yu buffs her allies, gives them extra damage, heals passively, and is even a good source of damage. He's an absolute all-rounder who will always come in handy.
Soon we'll talk about other characters and other builds. We hope you really enjoyed the guide! See you with the next promotional character! Cheers!
