Animals in Fortnite are a relatively recent addition to the game. It makes traveling around the map faster and more enjoyable than simply running around.
While riding an animal in Fortnite, you are still free to use your weapons and throw items. You can even swim while riding on an animal. You also get an 80 XP bonus for every animal you ride.

Vehicles will always be faster than animals. However, animals make moving through rough terrain or evading obstacles easier.

How to Ride Animals in Fortnite
Riding an animal in Fortnite is very easy. There are no additional keybinds required. Here are the steps to ride an animal in Fortnite.
1. Find a boar or wolf that you would like to ride. They generally change locations because they roam around the map.
2. Once you’re near a rideable animal, all you have to do is jump on its back. No need for taming or mounting. Just make sure to aim for the animal’s back when landing, and you’re good to go.
3. Enjoy riding the wildlife.
Where to Find Animals to Ride in Fortnite
Of course, you can’t ride animals if you can’t find them. They can usually be found within the northern part of the map. Wolves can mostly be found near Lustrous Lagoon within the different woodland areas.
Boars will often appear near Logjam Junction or Grim Gables. You’ll usually find them roaming around the fields. Finding the animals at these locations isn’t always guaranteed because they can always move around, or another player might’ve already taken them before you arrive.
