One of the first activities presented to you once you get past the prologue and into the open world in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is to track down three Lost Pages in the Makinoodera Temple. The temple has seen better days and is largely in a state of disrepair with numerous building carcasses and ruins, which makes the task harder.

To make finding them a whole lot easier make sure to use Naoe’s Observe ability (hold L2 on PS5 right mouse click on PC) to tag them as best you can. Even then tracking them all down can be tricky. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the location of all three Lost Pages in Makinoodera Temple in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Lost Pages 1

You’ll find this one in the ruined building where you drew a Sumi-e painting of the egg-stealing tanuki with Junjiro. The Lost Page is hidden behind a stack of crates next to a sack and a large box on the northwestern side of the building.

Lost Pages 2

The second page is just south of the first just above the letter ‘e’ of the word temple in Makinoodera Temple on the world map. The Lost Page is sitting in the undergrowth behind a stone lantern just before the path leading into a bamboo grove.

Lost Pages 3

The third and final page is on the southwest side of the temple, just below the letter ‘k’ of Makinoodera Temple when you’re fully zoomed in. It’s on the second floor of a ruined building. Grapple up to the roof above, then drop down to what remains of the floor to find the page sitting next to a pile of rubble and burnt-out wood.

Finding all three Lost Pages at Makinoodera Temple will grant you 1 Knowledge Point that contributes towards unlocking the next Knowledge Rank, which unlocks access to new tiers in Naoe’s skill trees. Not too far away, you have the Tennoji Temple and Gansenji Temple where you’ll, again, need to find a set of Lost Pages.
