If you’re curious about the CS2 download size or how big Counter Strike 2 is on Steam, we’ve covered the latest here.

While we haven’t had a confirmed release date for Counter Strike 2, nor do we know specifically how big the game is going to be, we can make some fairly accurate predictions based on the Limited Test.

Currently, if you’re invited to play the Counter Strike 2 Limited Test, you’re going to be able to patch CS2 to your CSGO game after completing a little 15GB download. Essentially, the new game is a free update to the original, meaning there’s not all that much to download.

However, the Limited Test is – as the title suggests – a limited version of the game. This means that there’s going to be many more features introduced into the game that will pad that download size much higher.

What is the CS2 download size? Here’s our prediction

Here’s the CS:GO download size

As Counter Strike: Global Offensive is currently sitting at a 30GB download, and the CS2 Limited Test is currently a 15GB download, we’re going to predict that Counter Strike 2 is going to have a download size between 20GB – 30GB.

It’s likely that while the download will be this size, it’s not going to take 60GB+ of storage space. It’s going to update your original game files and will likely get rid of any unnecessary files freeing up some space.

We’re not going to know how big the CS2 download size is actually going to be until the Counter Strike 2 release time, which we’re expecting at some point today.
