- You can, however, create new characters on different servers
Whether you whizzed through the character creator and botched your meta-human’s look, wanted to link up with friends, or just fancy replaying the early game, there are plenty of reasons to want to start over fresh in Once Human. Like many things in Starry Studio’s apocalyptic survival crafting game, figuring out how to delete your character isn’t all that obvious.
We’ll cut to the chase here: there’s currently no way for players to delete their character. However, there are ways to side step this, create a new character, and get more-or-less the same result.
Can you delete a character in Once Human?
No, Once Human doesn’t allow players to delete their character. There’s talk of this coming in future updates, but for the moment, if you created a character on a specific server, you’re effectively stuck playing with the same one, progress, appearance, and all. There’s no way to delete a character and create a new one on the same server. You can switch worlds on the same server, but you character follows you along.
At launch, players could only have one character across all servers, so if you fancied starting afresh, it was tough luck. Player uproar prompted Starry Studio to allow multiple characters, but character deletion still isn’t quite ready yet.
If you’re happy switching servers, you can, however, create as many new characters as there are different servers. You can have one character per server. This is especially useful if you want to play with friends grouped in a different server.

Note that this is a completely fresh character, so expect to play through the entire tutorial before reaching the open world. You’ll also start with a blank slate when it comes to weapon and armour blueprints, story progress, Teleportation Towers, and so on. It’s akin to starting the game for the first time.
You can see a list of all your characters in the Server List.
