Collecting Pokemon cards or completing a game's Pokedex is all well and good, but for a lot of trainers, the most fun way to catch 'em all is buying plushes. The biggest problem with going that way about becoming the very best (like no one ever was) is right there at the end of that last sentence - you have to buy them. Collecting Pokemon plushes can get expensive fast, so news that the Pokemon Center is giving one away for free will be music to a lot of people's ears.

That's what's happening right now as Pokemon fans in the US and Canada can get a Yamper plush free by picking up items from the Pokemon Center's Spring Collection. The promo at the top of the page explains that you need to spend at least $40 for the Yamper plush to be added to your cart free of charge. As good as the items in the Spring Collection are, it's worth noting your $40 total can be made up of stuff that isn't a part of the collection.

As long as there's at least one item from the Spring Collection in your cart, provided the total of your purchase comes to at least $40, the Yamper plush should be added to your purchase. Double check the Yamper is there before you proceed to checkout. It will be obvious if it's missing as the plush will be listed with the items you're buying, likely below everything else you're buying.

It's entirely possible there's a lot more than $40 worth of stuff in the Pokemon Center's Spring Collection you'll want to buy with items pulled from various departments to celebrate the start of a new season. The new Paldea Adventure Chest is included and since it costs $50, you won't need to buy anything else to qualify for your free Yamper. The Wand Company's Friend Ball replica is in there, so are the Paldean Fates mini tins, or if it's just plushes you're after, they're are a lot of those to choose from too.

Plushes are one of many ways you can fill the void left by no new Pokemon games coming in 2024. It was confirmed during February's Pokemon Presents that the next big installment on the video game front will be Pokemon Legends Z-A in 2025. Before that, we'll be getting Pokemon TCG Pocket on mobile. Until then, spend your Pokemon pocket money on the Spring Collection to get your free Yamper plush between now and April 8, and grab the Pokemon TCG Classic for almost $100 less on Amazon.
