When you think of an Escoffier build in Genshin Impact, you need to focus on two different gear types: weapons and artifacts. The weapon gives her some of the important stats like the flat ATK, a secondary stat depending on the weapon, and a unique passive. On the other hand, the artifact set you choose can give additional buffs to her based on its two and four-piece bonuses.

The best weapon and artifact set for Escoffier is undoubtedly the Symphonist of Scents, her signature weapon, and Blizzard Strayer, respectively. The former provides both her and her allies with a bunch of ATK while the latter makes it much easier to build her as a sub-DPS. It's much better to build Escoffier as a sub-DPS since she only needs ATK and Energy Recharge for her support build, which is too easy to get.

However, if you think that your main DPS can handle every combat scenario, then you can build her as a support and save a lot of resources and time.

Escoffier's main stat on each artifact piece can change based on the build type you're going for and the characters you're planning to use her with. Here's what you should use in each scenario:

  • The Sands piece should have ATK Percent as the main stat in almost every scenario. However, if you're using Engulfing Lightning with her, you can get away with Energy Recharge as the main stat too.
  • As for the Goblet, there's not a lot of difference between Cryo DMG Bonus and ATK Percent when it comes to her damage, but her healing scales off of the ATK. So, if you're using her with someone like Furina, you'd want the ATK Goblet to have higher healing.
  • Finally, you can use a Crit Circlet without any problems if you're planning to build her as sub-DPS, with Crit DMG taking priority if you're using Blizzard Strayer. On the other hand, ATK Percent works just fine for a support build.

Being her signature weapon, Syphonist of Scents works the best on Escoffier regardless of her build type, though it incentivizes the sub-DPS style more due to the whopping 66.2 percent as the secondary Crit DMG stat.

Other than that, you can get up to 56 percent ATK on Escoffier while also increasing your team's ATK by 32 percent with this weapon.

Calamity Queller

Boasting a high base ATK, Calamity Queller can give you another 16.5 percent ATK as the secondary stat. With its passive, you can get a 12 percent Cryo DMG bonus along with up to 38.4 percent ATK.

As you can see, the overall utility for this weapon is lower than her signature, but the high ATK boost makes it perfect for her support build since her healing scales on ATK.

Engulfing Lightning

Support

As mentioned above, the main stats you need for Escoffier's support build are ATK and Energy Recharge, and this weapon helps you with both. Its secondary stat already gives you a ton of Energy Recharge.

Moreover, you can get extra ATK based on your Energy Recharge over 100 percent, and additional recharge after activating your Burst.

Favonius Lance

Favonius weapons have been meta ever since the release of Genshin Impact due to their high utility for support units and easy availability, being a four-star.

The Energy Recharge and particle regeneration from this weapon gives Escoffier the chance to trigger her Burst more often.

Staff of Homa

While Staff of Homa doesn't fit Escoffier's kit perfectly, it is her second-best option for the DPS build. It gives her a similar Crit DMG boost as her signature, while also giving additional ATK based on her Max HP.

It does increase her Max HP as well, but you won't be using the secondary part of this weapon's passive since she won't go below 50 percent HP often.

Prospector's Drill

Having a 27.6 percent ATK as the secondary stat Prospector's Drill is tailor-made for Escoffier as it also gives her a ton of ATK and Elemental DMG bonus after the first rotation.

Tamayuratei no Ohanashi

This is a simple weapon that gives Escoffier 30.6 percent Energy recharge with up to 40 percent ATK on the maximum refinement. Since it's an event-limited weapon, you likely have it on maximum refinement already.

Missive Windspear

This weapon gives her a whopping 41.3 percent ATK as the secondary stat with another 12 percent after triggering an elemental reaction, which is at the center of Escoffier's kit.

You can also gain some Elemental Mastery, though that's not very useful for Escoffier.

You can still use the support weapons mentioned above on Escoffier's sub-DPS build, but you'll just have a harder time getting the right stats with her artifacts.

Best Escoffier Artifacts

Genshin Impact constantly adds new domains around its map, with each one having two artifact sets that you can farm for. Some of these artifacts are niche and only work with specific characters, while others are more universal. Most of Escoffier's best artifact sets are universal, and you can even use some of them on her team members.

As mentioned above, Escoffier's best artifact set is the Blizzard Strayer, which was available quite early in the game. You can easily farm this one by either taking part in its domain or strongboxing it at an Alchemy Table. Here's why all the sets mentioned above are good on her:

With a 15 percent Cryo DMG bonus as the two-piece, you can also get up to 40 percent Crit Rate with this weapon as long as you have its four pieces and attack a Frozen opponent.

Freeze reaction is at the center of Escoffier's kit, which makes this work with her perfectly.

Golden Troupe

Escoffier's main source of damage in the sub-DPS build comes from her Elemental Skill. This set can boost this damage by up to 70 percent, making it perfect for sub-DPS Escoffier as long as you have a good Crit Ratio.

Noblesse Oblige

While it's not recommended, you can still use this set on Escoffier if you're building her as a support. The Elemental Burst DMG you get from it is largely useless, but the extra 20 percent ATK for your party members is decent.

Finally, if you don't have any of the other artifact sets mentioned above, you can use this one to get a similar ATK boost as Noblesse. Escoffier's skill constantly hits the enemy, though the shield strength from the set isn't useful for her.

While there are four artifact set choices for Escoffier, your end goal should be to either go for Blizzard Strayer or Golden Troupe.

Escoffier Talent Overview And Priority

One look at Escoffier's kit and you'll realize that it's quite an easy one to understand. While it is a simple kit, it can give you a ton of value when you use her in the right team:

  • Escoffier's Elemental Skill deals a bit of AoE damage when you trigger it, but most of its damage comes from the cooking pot that follows your active character and unleashes a Cryo attack every second. Her Skill has a 100 percent uptime since the off-field damage stays for longer than the cooldown.
  • Her Elemental Burst works like her Elemental Skill, except it heals your team. On activation, it heals the entire team based on her ATK, and then provides more healing for the active character every second. This additional healing lasts for nine seconds.
  • The main part of Escoffier's kit is her Inspiration-Immersed Seasoning passive. For each Cryo or Hydro character in your team, you can get five, ten, 15, and 55 percent RES reduction for the two elements. You'll always have the five percent since Escoffier herself is Cryo.
  • The above buff triggers after you hit enemies with her Skill or Burst, which is quite often.

Escoffier Talent Priority

There are only three talents you can upgrade for every character in Genshin Impact, including Escoffier. Her passives unlock as you upgrade, and the priority for additional upgrades is her Elemental Skill for the sub-DPS build. On the other hand, you can upgrade her Burst first if you're using her as a support.

Her normal attack can be ignored since you'll never use them in a normal rotation. Talking about rotation, Escoffier generally just uses her Skill into the Burst before switching off, making her take very little time on the field.

Should You Go For Escoffier Constellation Or Weapon?

If you've already pulled for the first Escoffier copy and want to go for more, you mainly have two choices: the first constellation or the weapon. For Escoffier, it depends on the type of team you're planning to use her in. Her first constellation can increase the Cryo character's Crit DMG by 60 percent when all your party members are Cryo or Hydro.

While the constellation is only good for Cryo units, her weapon is more universal and gives ATK to all her team members. Moreover, it's a support weapon that you can use on nearly every Polearm support. Overall, you get more value from her weapon, so that's the better choice.

Escoffier doesn't have the most valuable constellations past the first one, so it's a good stopping point unless you're going for all of them.
