Thanks to today's Capcom Presents, we now know Exoprimal will arrive on July 14. However, we also now know that the game will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass after there was some confusion about whether or not that would happen.Earlier this year when Exoprimal was first listed on the Microsoft storefront, the game had "console" and "cloud" listed as possible platforms, but nothing about Game Pass. That would have made Exoprimal the first game to be playable on Xbox's cloud without also being available on Game Pass. Today's trailer puts our confusion to rest and confirms that Exoprimal will indeed have a Game Pass release simultaneous to the game's availability on all other platforms.Related: Resident Evil 4’s Original Merchant Will Be Sorely MissedWe got more than just a Game Pass release date during today's presentation. Capcom also announced an open beta will arrive on March 17 and last until March 19. The beta test will have cross-platform matchmaking across Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam, and participants will be awarded the "special Aibius Medal charm." Those that pre-order Exoprimal will also receive skins for the Witchdoctor, Deadeye, and Roadblock Exosuits. Purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition for even more Exosuit skins as well as a bonus for Exoprimal's Survival Pass, which is a battle pass with both paid and free-to-earn tiers.
It doesn't look like Exoprimal will lock any of the Exosuits behind the paid portion of the battle pass, and everything you unlock will be purely cosmetic. It does seem like the free track on the pass is pretty barren, however, so don't expect huge rewards unless you shell out an extra fee.
Exoprimal arrives on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on July 17.
