Oh No, Tifa's MTG Card Features The Colours Of The Italian Flag

Summary
- Tifa's Magic: The Gathering card has been revealed...
- ...and it's reminding people of the Italian Senate incident.
- You know, the time when the entire world saw Italian politicians get Zoombombed with a very raunchy video starring Tifa Lockheart? Yeah, that.
Where were you when Tifa Lockheart made an appearance in the Italian senate? That's something that future generations will ask us when we're all old and grey, no doubt.
If you somehow have no idea what I'm talking about, I envy how offline you are, but to get you up to speed: in 2022, the Italian Senate accidentally played 30 seconds of a raunchy Tifa video. This was thanks to the Senate hosting a Zoom call, which someone managed to gain access to, and blast the adult video for all viewers to see. This included everyone watching the Senate from home.

I am never going to financially recover from this.
PostsNow, Magic: The Gathering fans have been reminded of the incident all over again, thanks to Tifa getting her own card in the upcoming Final Fantasy Universes Beyond run. Here, fans were quick to notice that the colours in the top right corner of the card are the same as the Italian flag. Sorry, Tifa, you'll never live this down.
This MTG Card Just Reminded Everyone Of The Tifa Incident In Italy
THIS IS DIOBOLICAL IYKYK #Tifa #MTGFF #Finalfantasy #Itally #IYKYK — Kurohitsuki 🛫->Pax East (@kurohitsuki.bsky.social) 2025-05-03T21:27:56.533Z
As highlighted by MTG content creator Kurohitsuki, you can see the red, green, and white in the top right corner. He and others in the replies are linking it to that incident, which is always fun to think about, no matter how much time passes...
Of course, this could all be coincidental, but it is an amusing coincidence nonetheless. Square Enix better make sure it never accidentally depicts Tifa near anything remotely Italian ever again, because this is clearly where our minds will go.
The Final Fantasy MTG set will launch on June 13, so it's not too much longer to wait now. Unsurprisingly, it's already selling incredibly well.
