Exciting News: Patapon 1 + 2 Remastered Collection Coming to Nintendo Switch and PC

During the Nintendo Direct on March 27, 2025, Sony revealed an exciting remaster of the first two games in the acclaimed Patapon series. Titled “Patapon 1 + 2 Replay, ”this collection is set to launch on July 11, 2025. Originally debuting on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2007, the franchise has captivated players with its unique blend of rhythm-based mechanics and tower defense gameplay. While three titles exist within this beloved series, only the first two will be included in this upcoming bundle.

New Features for Enhanced Gameplay Experience

To improve accessibility for both new players and veterans alike, the collection will introduce various difficulty settings and the option to maintain visible commands on the screen at all times. These enhancements are particularly significant given the game’s challenging nature, allowing players to enjoy the rhythmic gameplay without frustration.

Available on Multiple Platforms

Though officially announced during the Nintendo Direct, Patapon 1 + 2 Replay isn’t limited to the Nintendo Switch. A product listing already surfaced on Steam, indicating that PC users will also have the opportunity to experience this remastered collection, broadening its accessibility to a wider audience.

Originally developed by Japan Studio, which has since closed its doors, the Patapon series was published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Currently, the remastered edition is being published by Bandai Namco, known for resurrecting classic titles like Freedom Wars with their recent remaster in early 2025.
