How to Set Spawn in Fisch
By default, all players spawn on Moosewood Island when they load up the game. That is unless you specifically set your spawn to another location, for various reasons. To set your spawn, you need to find the innkeeper of an island and pay them 35 coins.
- Innkeeper Locations:
- Terrapin Island
- Moosewood Island
- Roslit Bay
- Snowcap Island
- Sunstone Island
- Ancient Isle
- Desolate Deep
- Forsaken Shores
As you can see from the list above, practically every location has an innkeeper, except for Vertigo and The Depths. This is probably due to the process of accessing these areas in the first place, especially when it comes to The Depths.
Keep in mind that at Forsaken Shores, Roslit Bay, and Sunstone Island, the Innkeeper is instead called the Beach Keeper. I’m not sure why, but that’s how it is!
The Importance of Setting Spawn
You don’t have to set spawn, but it can be useful for a few reasons. If you’re fishing on a particular island a lot to fill out a Bestiary page, setting spawn there is handy so you can load straight back in without having to set sail across the ocean to reach your desired destination.
For example, having to travel the long distance between Moosewood and Ancient Isle can be arduous, especially with the dangerous rocks, whirlpools, and barrels that appear. So, because of this, my spawn is currently set at Ancient Isle! This does come with issues though, as it means I have a long way to go whenever I need any of the other islands.
