Type Soul Ghoulossus Guide

It’s spooky season! With that, comes a Halloween-inspired boss called Ghoulossus, also known as the King of the Dead. He’s a tricky boss to battle, and summoning him can take some time. I’m here to talk you through everything.

How To Summon

To Summon Ghoulossus, you need the Ghastly Core item. You can either purchase this from the Halloween Event Store for 50 points. If you don’t want to spend anything, there is a chance this drops when you defeat a ghost. To dive into the hunt, use our Type Soul Ghost guide to find their spawn locations!

Now you have your Ghastly Core, you need to use it to summon him. Head to Karakura Town and find the temple located on the right-hand side. Now, equip the Ghastly Core and use it. If you’re in the wrong place, don’t worry, as you won’t lose the item. Instead, a message will pop up letting you know you’re in the wrong location.

After you summon him, it’s time to battle! Ghoulossus is a hard boss to beat, and he has plenty of moves that deal high damage. I suggest you team up with friends to take him on together… strength in numbers!

Ghoulossus Drops

The King of the Dead drops Ectoplasm once you defeat him. This is converted into points (1 Ectoplasm = 1 point)  which you can spend in the Halloween Event Shop. Here, you can buy exclusive items… all spooky-themed!

Although not a drop, once you defeat him, you will earn the ‘King of the Dead [Halloween 2024] badge. It has a slim 0.1% chance of being obtained… deemed as impossible! What a way to show off.
