Tales Of Tanorio Mega Evolution Guide

In this guide, we’ll go over what Mega Evolution is, and how it functions in battle. Before we continue, it’s worth noting that the actual in-game name for this process is Guardian Reversion. However, the community has been referring to it as Mega Evolution, so we’ll do the same in this guide.

What Is Mega Evolution?

Mega Evolution is a process through which a Tanorian evolves into a more powerful form during battle. This change is temporary, and the Tanorian will return to its original form once the battle ends. During the battle, however, It can make use of increased stats and, often, a powerful new Ability.

How Does Mega Evolution Work?

At time of writing, there’s little information available about Mega Evolution. In fact, you’re actually unable to make use of the system yourself at this stage of the game. The only place Mega Evolution appears is during the game’s Gym battles.

Both Rya and Dylan use Mega Evolution on their final Tanorians: Dynastogun and Doopybara, respectively. They tend to do this immediately, unless you manage to knock them out before their turn begins. Unlike Mega Evolution in the Pokemon series, the process here doesn’t appear to take up your Tanorian’s turn. This can be seen when Dynastogun and Doopybara attack immediately after Mega Evolving.

In terms of how it might work later, Mega Evolution will likely be restricted to a small pool of Tanorians. It will likely also require a specific item for each Tanorian before it can take place. These ideas are pure speculation at this stage, based on how the mechanic works in Pokemon.
