Dead Rails Classes Tier List

All 5 classes, ranked.

S Tier

  • Doctor
    • The Doctor class is in the top tier because it’s arguable the most useful! As you can imagine, Doctors are the team healers, starting each round with bandages and Snake Oil
    • They can heal themselves and their team members with the healing items
    • If a team member goes down after losing HP, Doctors can revive them thanks to the class ability, with no need to use bandages to do so
    • Despite this class’s strengths, it’s the cheapest to purchase at only 15 Bonds!
  • Cowboy
    • Cowboys start with everything you need, apart from HP items. They enter a round with a Revolver, fresh ammo, and a tamed horse with a Saddle

A Tier

  • Arsonist
    • The Arsonist class is the only one that directly deals damage to enemies
    • By starting with Molotovs, and Aronists having a passive buff that allows them to deal more Fire DMG, this class is ideal for those who prefer to go in all guns blazing
  • Miner
    • Miners are great for when you need additional coal for the train, as they can light the way, and start a round with a Mining Helmet

B Tier

  • The Alamo
    • The Alamo class also prioritises defense, but rather than their own, they work on defending the train
    • With Metal Sheets and Barbed Wire, an Alamo player protects the train from oncoming damage, therefore helping the entire team
  • High Roller
    • High Rollers increase the team’s money income thanks to the 1.5x buff to moneybags, however, they’re more likely to be struck by lightning which means you need to have plenty of healing items on board
  • Zombie
    • It’s quite a novel class, as it switches out the need of collecting and using bandages and Snake Oil with consuming dead bodies to replenish HP instead

C Tier

  • Ironclad
    • This class very much only benefits the user as they have an increase in defense against enemies of all types
    • The reason why it’s so low in our tier list is the fact that the heavy armor slows the movement of an Ironclad player by 20%, making it harder for them to evade oncoming attacks
    • They don’t offer any benefits or help to team members, yet this class still costs 100 Bonds
  • Conductor
    • Their main purpose is to drive the train, which thanks to their class ability, makes it move along the tracks much faster
    • The HP of Conductors is halved compared to the other classes
  • Vampire
    • Sadly, the only benefit to being a Vampire is the fact that they move faster… and that’s it. Other than that, they take damage when they go into the sunlight, which means they have to stay on the train for most of the day
  • Priest
    • The only good thing about the Priest class is that they are immune to lightning strikes, but that’s all there is

D Tier

  • None
    • There isn’t much to say about this class because… well, it doesn’t offer any pros or cons
    • Every player (new and old) starts with this class once they log in after the initial Classes update
