yAwS spawned at the top position, which left SaSe at the bottom position.
Early game started off with standard cookie cutter strategies by both players. yAwS starting by trying to build a scouting farm which was denied early by a single archer by SaSe. SaSe opted for the Dark Ranger and archers to get mass skeletons to help vs the footmen and Archemage of yAwS.
Both players creeping their respective greens on Secret Valley until yAwS took to the offensive and attacked the base of SaSe taking down one moon well and not losing a single unit.
Both players began to creep again with yAwS creeping the fountain next to SaSe base and SaSe going for his respective mine. yAwS and SaSe both get Naga Sea Which' as second heros and yAwS then goes straight onto the offensive but is quickly sent packing as he loses his Naga as well as all of his units leaving only his AM.
yAwS quickly rebuilds his army and meets SaSe again, this time just north of the Tavern. yAwS lost the first fight due to focusing heros, and again he is forced to TP out due to lack of micro and was losing units, as well as his Naga once again.
yAwS again goes to the offensive and goes straight to the base of SaSe to be met right at the entrance by SaSe who was healing after the battle he had just won. However he is now joined by 3 bears which make quick work of yAwS Naga for a third time!
yAwS backs off once more but comes back and tries an offensive tower push to strengthen his offense against SaSe main base. He has seemingly changed his tactics as he is now no longer focusing the heros of SaSe but the units and quickly leveling his AM.
yAwS slowly defeats off SaSe army leaving only his heros which begin to focus yAwS' AM and chase it out of the base and into hiding, however yAwS took this to his advantage and destroyed the Naga of SaSe for the first time.
yAwS now having the advantage pushes the main base which is left defenseless as the DR runs away from the battle. Soon after SaSe' Naga is revived and scarcely makes it out of his base alive.
yAwS AM has reached lvl 6 and mass teleports to the center of the map where SaSe was trying to harass the reinforcements of yAwS as a last stitch effort. yAwS made quick work of the two heros and SaSe calls GG!
The opening match for the WCG Warcraft III tournament was just played on the main stage between SaSe and yAwS.
