June "Lyn" Park has won the 75th edition of ZOTAC Cup after a victory over Jong Seok 'ReprisaL' Lee.
This week's ZOTAC included a lot known names, such as Grubby and elfittaja. It also featured a high number of Koreans, such as FoCuS, FoV, ReprisaL, Soccer, Space, Shy and the winner of the previous edition - the SK-Gaming Orcer Lyn.
Four Asians made it to the Quarterfinals and went to battle out with four Europeans gamers. The matches began with a surprising loss by the MYM captain Grubby, who was stomped down by ReprisaL. The Swedish Human EfFeCt managed to steal a map from Shy, but it was not enough and he was defeated right after.
With two straight victories, TastyLeon made his way through the semis, taking down the French player Stephano. Lyn, on the other hand had a harder match, after dropping the starting map in his clash against Space. Despite that, June Park overcame the Undead forces in the next two games and earned a victory.
ReprisaL and Shy went to battle out for a place in the final match. The ex-fnatic Night Elf grabbed the first map, but could not keep it up for the upcoming ones and eventually got knocked out. The German TastyLeon proved to be a challenge for Lyn, but Korea once again prevailed over Europe.
It was all set and done now. Twisted Meadows and Echo Isles gave Lyn the lead. On Turtle Rock his opponent ReprisaL took the victory and aimed for a comeback, but Secret Valley proved to be successful for the Orcer. There he showed perfect micro, and with a double-kill on the Human heroes the game was over. A good start of Sunday morning, as SK-Gaming's Lyn wins his second ZOTAC title, winning 100 Euros.
