Emsisoft will be sponsoring the first season of Carrier, GosuGamers' StarCraft ladder, with products to the top 30 winners.

GosuGamers Engineering team and Ladder team are still working hard to be ready for the first season of the Carrier. Updates are being worked on, and plans for the first season will be made. A request for additional feedback on the beta and a list of new updates for the ladder will be published. First, however, we present a new sponsor:

Emsisoft will be sponsoring the first season of Carrier with licenses to their famous a-Squared Anti-Malware being given to each and every person in the top 30 when the first season is over.

Known for their Anti-Malware and for having over 4 million users of their products, Emsisoft will provide the gamers with added security for their computers when browsing the internet. The products are specifically made with gaming in mind, and this is what Thomas Günther, marketing director of Emsisoft, had to say about their products:

"There are many security products but only a few of them can claim to provide effective protection from all types of Malware. The main reason for this is the eternal cat and mouse game played for decades between malware programmers and the security industry. Normal security software is limited by the fact that it can only recognize malware for which the manufacturer has already created a signature - assuming that the manufacture even has a copy of the malware available for analysis.

a-squared Anti-Malware has now turned the tables and no longer trails behind the malware authors. It does not identify damaging software purely on the basis of signatures, but also looks at how it behaves. This means that you will be protected from the hundreds of new Trojans, Worms, Dialers, Rootkits and Spywares that appear every day.

Last but not least, let me mention that a-squared Anti-Malware is perfect for gamers, as it needs only very few PC resources and every gamer being online quite often should have a good and effective protection".

More updates to Carrier will be presented shortly.
