The highly anticipated eSport event lands in Europe for the first time. Tournaments will be held in StarCraft, Warcraft 3 and World of WarCraft Arena.
This year's Blizzard Worldwide Invitational will be held in the Porte de Versailles Exposition Center in Paris, France in the third week in June, 28-29th.

For the average Joe, should his name not be Kim Taek Yong alias Bisu, there will be casual tournaments, discussion panels, musical performances and the ability to play StarCraft II and World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.

While the World of Warcraft Arena tournament is a new tournament, the reigning champions of Blizzard Worldwide Invitational's StarCraft and Warcraft 3 are Kim Taek "Bisu" Yong (Korea) and Yoan "ToD" Merlo (France). Both players are in a good position to be invited once again to defend their title.

"We look forward to bringing the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational to Europe for the first time and sharing our latest news with players there," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "In addition to the great tournament gaming that will be taking place at the event, we’re planning an entertaining show for all attendees."

A ticket costs 70€ but gives you a classic "goody bag" and full access to the discussion panels, musical performances and of course allows you to enjoy the eSports tournament on spot.

As the event draws closer, more information will be revealed such as the players list. Mark 28-29th in your calendar, and book a trip to Paris right away! Only a week later, 4th of July, ESWC Masters will kick off, also in Paris.
