Before the final day, the WCS season 1 finals arrive at what is almost an exact replica of the last Code S semi-finals.
Soulkey, sOs, Innovation and Mvp made it to the penultimate round of the WCS Season 1 finals. This line-up not only represents three out of the four Code S finalist from last season, but is arranged in such a way that at least one grudge match happens.
In the upper part of the bracket sOs meets Soulkey. The two defeated Alicia and RorO respectively and face each other for the second time in three weeks after their clash at the last GSL. Soulkey was able to walk out the victor that day, pinning down sOs 4-3, but having in mind how close the series was, the second battle between the two teammates might very well go the other way.
In the second semi final, GSL runner-up Innovation is to play the European champion Mvp. The two haven't yet played each other but with TvT being among their stronger match-ups, SC2 fans would not need a previous history to feel the hype rising. The steaks are as high as they've ever been: Mvp is within reach of recovering his title of the best Terran in the world and scoring two gold medals in a row will greatly aid him in this while Innovation might get a potential rematch against Soulkey and redeem himself for the 3-4 comeback loss in the last Code S.
