Yes, that's right. WGTour opened up their doors for all StarCraft gamers out there to play the new beta season. In a lengthy post on the WGTour site they carefully describe the steps for how to get started and into the playing. This is how you do it:

I would thank our admins that stayed tuned and optimistic all the month and the community that believed in it. Let´s look in a positiv future and wait for the news Blizzard got for us this weekend.
How to get started with WGTour
1. Download the WGT.MPQ (WGTour League Folder).
2. Place the Leagues Folder (Unzipped) in your STARCRAFT folder { C:\Program Files\Starcraft}
3. You must either make an account on WGTour.com at this step, or if you already did, change your password. You do not need to completely change your password, but you must update it at least by re-filling out the password field in your settings.
4. Next you log onto any Battle.net server, then click the 'Leagues' link on the left side.
5. Enter the following information: Your WGTour.com Username (not your ladder name) and your WGTour.com Password. The name you are using on battle.net must show on the WGTour.com account you are trying to log in with. If they do not match you will not be able to log into the WGTour League.
6. Join Op WGT-1 and find an opponent. You can check stats with /stats . Once you join a game or create a game, verify that both of you are logged into the league. An L will show up by your name in the pre-game menu.
The hunt for ToT)DaZe( - he won the last ladder season playoff and was rewarded 1500 points to start with for the coming season, remember? - has started. The Swede has to watch out, as there are no rookies coming from behind.
At the moment the WGTour server load is very high, so the site is very slow, and barely showing up at all. Hopefully it will be settled shortly.
