Empire have announced their roster for the Frankfurt Major's open qualifier, newteam123 players yoky- and NoFear will be replacing ubaH and The_apathy.

Following Empire's failure to complete their roster and register for the Frankfurt Major and their recent string of bad results, the team has decided to change their roster. Empire will be replacing Ivan 'ubaH' Kapustin and Andrey 'The_apathy' Aleshkov with Maxim 'Yoky-' Kim and Alexsander 'NoFear' Churochkin; both players joining Empire are from newteam123.

In addition to this roster change, Roman 'Reso1ution' Fominok has stepped down as team captain. As a result, NoFear will be filling in the position of captain.

Team Empire's decision to change their roster is not surprising for three main reasons. The first reason is the poor performance of the roster, virtually losing every match played since TI5, the second reason is how rarely Empire played without a stand-in with their new roster, and the final reason for the roster change is the fact that they did not lock their roster for the Frankfurt Majors, allowing them to change their roster at will before the Frankfurt Major's open qualifiers.
