Smuft had beaten Mondragon earlier in the Winner Bracket and threw Mondragon down in the Loser bracket facing Legionnaire. Mondragon won that series, and was up against Smuft once again. There, Smuft clearly had the advantage, first beating him in Winner Bracket and then taking two straight games. Then on Nostalgia Mondragon did a great comeback and took three straight games, putting the score 3-3. It was to be settled on Neo Vertigo, who will win Team Liquid Tour #1? Earlier today, TeamLiquid.net and WGTour.com announced their second edition of the popular Team Liquid Tour, the paid ladder who gathered many of the world's top players in a ladder play and then a playoff. Just as the previous tournament in the summer of 2003, every player from whichever nation are able to participate, although the Koreans are not allowed to play in the final tournament. "We are aware that this is unjust to the Korean players, but our reason behind this decision is to give foreigners a chance to win a bigger tournament with prizes aswell." writes ErkenBrand in the » official announcement at WGTour.com.
Exactly as the last edition, the participation fee is $10 USD, normally payed through PayPal. If you have any trouble with PayPal there is a guide on how to pay in other ways » here, or at the TeamLiquid forum. They have announced a guaranteed prize money, that promises the winner $500 USD or more.
The anti-hack tool BWScanner will not be used for TLT itself. So say the rules. This will probably upset a lot of players, and might stop players to take part. This decision was made because people have had trouble with BWScanner, and that they do not want to hinder those players from attending. The administration does however intend to use it after the ladder - in the playoffs. "When we do; don’t be surprised".

Team Liquid Tour was a success, both for the gamers and for the hosts. WGTour hosted together with Team Liquid the well known tournament who lasted a bit more than a month. It was won by Smuft, taking home the prize of $750 USD. One of the reasons the tournament was so popular was because it gave unknown players a good chance to play with skilled and famous people.
