SlayerS_Boxer could not grasp the victory in his first match at MLG Providence. The Emperor gave his best but fell 1-2 to NesTea, the latter advancing forward to face SeleCT in the next round.

Boxer opened the first set on Antiga with a surgical 3-rax double reactor build, delivering a marine surprise to NesTea and trading his army for ten drones. But what comfort Boxer might have had at that point was soon erased as NesTea stumbled upon an unsieged and stimless terran army and crushed it to bits. NesTea used this victory as a stepping stone towards full map control and his beastly macro was reflected in the massive baneling/mutalisk composition that pummeled down Boxer for the 1-0.

The second game was played on Shakuras and once again NesTea came strong to establish a solid position on the map after deflecting Boxer's bunker rush, this time relying mostly on roaches as his core unit. Eventually, the two plunged into a direct confrontation in the center and the odds seemed very beneficial for the zerg but Boxer kept his cool and used unsieged tanks and his well timed reinforcements to push NesTea back, kill his third and tie the score.

The final set was decided with a split second decision as Boxer moved out to deny the third of NesTea but the zerg did not hesitate even for a second and launched an immediate counter attack at Boxer's natural laying waste on all his SCVs with banelings and mutas and finishing the job later with a follow-up attack.

"For MLG you really have to concentrate in 3 days so it's actually hard to control my stamina", said NesTea in the post-game interview when asked to share his thoughts on the difference between GSL and MLG.

In the other two matches which sadly did not hit the two main streams, Leenock and Mvp both enjoyed 2-0 victories against Haypro and Rain, respectively. In round 2 of the championship bracket, Leenock is facing DongRaeGu and Mvp is going against Bomber.
