NesTea, who seemed to be in trouble in game one because of the many zergling run-bys from Slush, could finish off the series that started as one of the most action-packed Zerg mirror matches at Providence with a quick ling race stopped thanks to a double queen choke block.
The skies of Shattered Temple was packed with mutalisks in the first game. Slush's early lead due to the successful run-bys seemed to stun "professor NesTea", but he could in his methodical and calm style come back thanks to a zergling run-by of his own to cripple Slush's economy as well as forcing the Canadian mutalisks back. And with the plus one carapace upgrade, NesTea's ball of mutalisks held off Slush's ball of mutalisks.
The second game was anticlimatic compared to the action-packed first game. NesTea's slightly earlier spawning pool gave him the possibility to kill two drones off of Slush in the start thanks to four zerglings. Both players then moved on to take their natural and pump out 12 or so zerglings to run at each other. NesTea was able to block his ramp with two queens from zerglings running up, while Slush mistakenly had his two placed ahead instead of right next to each other which cost him the game.
NesTea will now move on to play NaNiwa in the fourth round. Expect a NesTea hungry for revenge after yesterday's MLG Global Invitational grand final.
