Today and yesterday, SK gaming had announced big changes, including Nyph departing from the team.
After having been with the team since 2011, Nyph finally departs. Nyph has always been regarded as one of the strongest supports in Europe, also calling the shots for his team. In addition, though he had left the team prior to now, Carlos "ocelote" Rodriguez Santiago will no longer officially be part of the roster due to his contract ending.
Nyph and Ocelote as players aren't the only ones leaving the organization though, as longstanding member Min-Sik aka "reis" will be leaving the organization too after his efforts. Min-Sik also doubled as a Korean translator for many events.
Nyph will go on to play support for Alliance, pairing up with Tabzz in the bottom lane.
The SK organization had a bit to say regarding the departures, especially for one of the final remaining trademark SK lineups, Nyph.
"All of the above does not mark the end of SK Gaming as it did in 2004, 2005 and so on according to the community. It does the opposite. One door closes, another one opens. We as in SK are more than thrilled to walk through those new doors and are happy for the opportunities we have. We will reveal more and more in the upcoming weeks for sure, no worries."
