Cloud 9 finally receives their first loss, while Team Solomid are set to go on a rampage.

C9 vs CLG

The game to kick off the second week of LCS was between Hai L9's crew, going full steam ahead after their 5-0 in week 1,and Doublelife's posse, faltering quite a bit with thier new lineup. As for picks and bans, C9 went for a high-mobility team comp, with Kennen as their main source of engagement. CLG, on the other hand, went for a solid poke comp with strong late game scaling.

After struggling so hard in the first week, CLG looked like they learned a lot from their losses, and with one ward change the entire course of the game. Though C9 managed to steal red buff, the vision that one ward gave was enough information to take C9 by surprise and get two kills. From that point, CLG got back the confidence they've been needing for such a long time. Even as C9 managed to get even and sometime even aheadin gold and towers, CLG's champions lineup simply scaled better. Being a poke comp, they pelted away at C9 and Balls never got the big initiation they needed due to knock away skills from Nien, Chauster, and Doublelift. By the time CLG's carries got Guardian Angels, there was nothing C9 could do and the Hype Train has finally ran its course.

TSM vs VES

The next game was between the Team Solomid and Velocity eSports, "The Battle of the Brothers" one may say. This is will be first time TheOddOne and frommaplestreet are going head-to-head in the LCs. As for picks, TSM went old-school with Reginald taking Karthus and Dyrus taking Shen, while VES went something new with a support Lissandra and jungle AP Yi.

Sadly for Vileroze and his team, they never had the chance to showcase their comp's true potential, as TSM looking dominating right from the get go. With a red steal and a First Blood by WildTurtle, the duo lane of TSM hadd a tremendous advantage, and that was only the beginning. Although Cris' Vladimir was a great counter to Shen and Karthus, somehow he wasn't able to use his Sanguine pool to great effect. As the gold gap got wider and wider, TSM simply walked towards VES' towers and decimated them in teamfights. A 10k lead by 16 minutes was already the end for VES and with a few fumbles by TSM, ended the game at 26 minutes and an astonishing 20k gold lead.
