Their victim in the semi finals were Reapered' SK Telecom T1 #1 who took a 1-3 loss out of the race for the Spring trophy.

Although finishing third in the group stage behind SKT #2 and CJ Blaze, MVP Ozone are already within hand's reach of  winning the first OGN Champions tournament for the new season. Led by top laner veteran Homme, the quintet in white took on SKT #1 in today's sem final and sliced them apart to make the grand finals.

Game 1

Most of the earlier stages of the games today would start somewhat passively but quickly exploded into decisive team fights and set one was no exception. An enormous 5v5 engagement broke out at the 15th minute mark near the baron pit and almost resulted into a double ace, MVP's Kha'Zix the only person to survive.

While that particular brawl ended up ugly for both parties, the next few would go bad for SKT's side only. Allowing themselves the freedom to push too far through MVP's top lane, Reapared and co were caught out of position and brutally slaughtered. Capitalizing on this win, MVP established full map control, did some more successful team fighting largely thanks to Mata's exquisite Zyra, took baron and set their eyes on the blue base. While the latter proved imprebnable during the first few sieges, another baron and another ace at the 32nd mark made it a lot easier for MVP and the first game was theirs.

Game 2

SKT came into the second game much better composed and through more organized tower control negated the potentially dangerous presence of Blitzcrank.

Having taken care of the threat of being hooked into an instagib, SKT started looking for team fights and they found them. And to their luck, successes followed behind. Taking a four for two trade at the 15th minute and a four for one seven minutes later were the spoons that fed SKT's Ryze and Nasus, both of whom became too beefy a threat for MVP to neglect.

As if that was not bad enough for MVP, SKT were able to enhance their map control even further, a critical point in a pick composition mirror match. By making Mata's Blitzcrank if not useless than at least a neglectable threat and continuing their streak of successful Thresh hooks, SKT deservedly tied the score.

Game 3

Game three saw one hungry for kills MVP and although this particular goal of theirs was hit, SKT's counter aggression took down the bot tower and almost erased top and mid as well. As professional LoL teaches the importance of objectives over kills, the position SKT were in seemed favorable for the time being, especially as it continued for a few more minutes.

What turned the tables around was a team fight at the 19th minute mark. At that point, SKT had already lost the kills race but their pristine objective control had put them to a 4-0 advantage. What they didn't account for was how big Dade's Ryze can actually get. The triple kill which Ryze banked during that particular engagement was only the beginning and Dade kept growing larger and larger throughout the game, essentially snowballing out of all control. The ridiculous level of domination throughout the entire match resulted in the astonishing 21/1/4 as MVP took the tie-breaker.

Game 4

Another 30-minute long game would finish the series and once again it would see a passive, equal game until the big engagement. Taking a fight at the 20th minute mark at the dragon pit resulted in a four for one trade and a drake for MVP and the squad under Homme's captainship easily snatched the gold lead.

From there on, the game much resembled the previous, only instead of a ravishing Ryze there was the elusive and deadly Caitlyn, paired with the perfect Thresh of Mata's. SKT's unconvincing performances on Ryze and Jax made MVP's job even easier but Ozone wouldn't indulge even the smallest risk. Although an easy baron kill practically sealed their victory, MVP pushed and killed all three inhibitors with admirable discipline before jumping up in celebration.

MVP Ozone will have two weeks of practice before they're thrown into the grand final series. A CJ Entus team kill (scheduled for May 31st) will determine MVP's opponent on June 15th.
