Between the BlizzCon Brawl showmatch, the Exhibition Tournament and numerous indepth developer panels, fans have something to be excited about.

Today at BlizzCon 2014, Blizzard will prominently display their yet to be released Moba darling in a magnitude that they have never done before. Fans will be treated to an exhaustive array of HoTS information, including up and coming content, art and design philosophy moving forward, and even an entire panel devoted towards the methodology of creating new maps and objectives for players to conquer. Check the Heroes of the Storm section throughout the weekend as we cover the best of the best!

All of this is well and good, but what about the competition? Blizzard has high hopes for the future of HoTS as an Esport and the move to host both casual showmatches between well known internet personalities (The BlizzCon Brawl Showmatch at 5:00 PM PST) as well as the Exhibition tournament featuring Cloud9, Evil Geniusees, Fnatic, and Team Liquid ( 7:00 PM PST, concludes Saturday, 2:00 PM PST) is a wise one. Hearthstone has already shown an incredible rise in popularity and competetition by embracing both casual and competetive players alike and HoTS looks to be heading down a similar path.

Speaking from experience, there is no doubt that HoTS is an incredibly fun game. The range of viable strategies and the number of different ways you can customize your hero is already high, and the game still has loads of content and new heroes yet to be released. Whatever dominant strategies we see today (expect a lot of Tyrael, Uther, Stiches and Zeratul) are subject to change, and who knows what Blizzard might decide to change before the game is release.

All that can be said for certain is today marks a very exciting day for Heroes of the Storm. What do you think we can expect from the exhibition tournament?
