Votes are in, but who needs those when you got tweets? As the tweetgoal was reached, both of the Twin Val'kyrs have been revealed.
The Twin Val'kyr, dreaded servants of the lich king, are coming to Hearthstone. These two neutral legendaries have powerful effects that trigger when you target them with a spell. In addition, both of them are 3/4, the highest stats normally avaliable to 3 mana minions.
Fjola Lightbane gains Divine Shield whenever you target her with a spell. She has basically an in-built [card]Hand of protection[/card]. This effect has the potential to make her very durable, effectively a [card]Scarlet Crusader[/card] with three addtional life. Since she can generate shields multiple times a turn it might also see the rebirth of [card]Blood knight[/card] which can both be used for synergy or as a counter to Fjola Lightbane.
Eydis Darkbane is an entirely different beast. Though her effect triggers off of the same condition as Lightbane, it is of a much more aggressive nature. Whenever you target this minion with a spell, she will deal 3 damage to a random enemy. Kind of like a mega [card]Knife juggler[/card], strong enough to kill [card]Grim Patron[/card]s. This has the potential to be extremely powerful.
The most obvious cards that trigger the Val'kyrs effects are cheap buffs like [card]Power word: Shield[/card] and [card]Velen's Chosen[/card] from priest. Most Spare parts like Armor Plating are also applicable spells for these effects. When all else fails, there is still the fact that the Val'kyr have solid stats for their cost and can be safely played as vanilla minions on curve. Overall, these cards seem extremely potent, which is a bit concerning considering that they will be a hard to acquire for a lot of players.
