The premier SEA league enters its Cycle 2 playoffs. Over the next three days, the eight best players of the past month will battle it out to determine who will go to the even grand finals later this month.
After two weeks of battles, Philippines, Thailand and Singapore were the three countries that made it to the Cycle 2 playoffs of eHL Season 1. After an abyssmal performance in Cycle 1, the Pinoys recovered for a strong showing in the second group stage and dominated half of the groups with an iron fist.
Celedor, Howi, Machtung and Lordcru will fight for the Pinoy pride starting today, enjoying the flag majority in the playoffs. Celedor is paired with the sole Singaporean Raxael, who was also the only player to achieve a perfect 6-0 score in the group stages and is shaping as one of the fiercest opponents in the group.
Howi, Machtung and Lordcru are matched against the three Thais Al2TTO, Thaibg and MuiZaa, respectively. This is the first time Thailand makes it that far in the tournament after they couldn't squeeze in a representative of theirs in the Singapore-dominated Cycle 1 playoffs.
Day one starts at 12:30 CET with the first two Ro8 matches, followed by the Round 2 game between the winners. Day two will resume tomorrow at the same time with the bottom two Ro8 games and the face-off between the winners again. Day three will be a long one and will span across the bulk of April 5th and will follow the lower bracket stories all the way to the grand final. The top two will advance to the tournament finale where Crea and Wensushi are already waiting.
