After a win yesterday, the rising mid pick in Europe suddenly fell flat in her place, resulting in two superb upsets.
SK vs CW
Early game was both good and bad for SK. While fredy122 was winning versus Youngbuck, the level 1 brawl in the bot lane severely hampered CandyPanda and nRated. And with Forg1ven and Unlimited using strong poke champs, they easily outfarmed their shorter-ranged counterparts. Again we see Lulu mid, this time from Jesiz versus cowTard's Ziggs, and that lane was pretty stable for both teams.
While SK's comp was interesting, it lacked one key factor: a strong engage. Wukong's threat range was not enough to set up a strong wombo combo with Annie and Lulu. Add to that CW's poke comp with a Trundle, and you get a very ineffective lineup. The Wolves simply kited their way to victory, using the power of their ranges and siege potential, slowly getting a stronger and stronger lead, while disallowing their opponents to jump on them cleanly.1
SHC vs GMB
This whole game was decided with one red buff invade by the SUPA HOT CREW. Impaler on Vi went in Gambit's jungle, pulling in Darien, Diamondprox and Alex Ich. What follows is an amazing turn of events, with SHC winning 2-0 plus the red buff, and to make matters worse, it was Mimer who got the two kills.
From that point, it was simply game over. The top, jungler, and mid steamrolled the game almost by themselves. MrRallez and Migxa, while doing a great job in bot lane, weren't even needed throughout most of the match. The heavily snowballed Renekton, Impaler playing amazingly on Vi with his invades, counterjungling, and map control, and Moopz being out of control with Kayle, The Crew shocked everybody with a dominating, and unbelievably one-sided win over the Russian Overlords.
