The second season of Dota 2 Champions League, hosted by Dreamz Media Group company, was announced a few hours ago. Six teams have been selected on the basis of their performance in season one, two from qualifiers, one from fan voting and the last one selected by the organizers themselves.

Slated to begin on February 09, 2013, ten teams will be seen contesting for the crown and will also be eyeing on the guranteed prizepool of $50,000. However, with the facility of in-game tickets, the prizepool can be gradually increased by $2.5 with every purchase made. The ticket also comes with a brand new hero set for Pudge.

Mark Averbukh, product manager D2CL, gave the following statement:

We’ve taken into account all mistakes of the past season and have been systematically working on making sure that all future tournaments would bring only positive emotions to viewers. We hope that such additions as the qualifying round, fan voting and games on European servers will make season two better.

The games will be broadcasted on Dailymotion by Aren 'VeRsuta' Zurabyan and joinDOTA in Russian and English, respectively.
