IG.Vitality gets knocked out of the competition, LGD.Forever Young advance into the lower bracket having to face Team Secret.
Game One
IG.V opened the draft with a Dark Seer, Earth Spirit and Ancient Apparition wombo-combo, followed by Alchemist while LFY opted for Bounty Hunter, Juggernaut, Disruptor and a surprise Clockwerk pick. Although 'Yao' Zheng's Clockwerk struggled during the early laning stage against IG V’s trilane, he recovered with a well-timed rotation from Ning 'Xiao8' Zhang's Bounty Hunter who also kept the mid Alchemist in check as much as possible. Perfectly landed hooks from Clockwerk resulted in several kills around the map and placed LFy’s carry Juggernaut on top of the net worth lead.
Zang 'Paparazi' Chengjun's Alchemist had a rough time, 18 minutes in, he was still missing the Sacred Relic and was permanently followed by the Bounty Hunter. Around the 20 minute mark, IG.V managed to win a huge team fight, killing three heroes from LFY thanks to a successful Vacuum-Wall combo, shortly after they won another team fight and didn't hesitate to claim Roshan for themselves which looked like a real comeback into the game.
Keeping the momentum up , IG.V looked to push mid lane, but paid for their overconfidence, losing three heroes in the process as well as the Aegis. As the clock was showing the 31 minute mark, LFY we're poking their heads at the IG.V base, but were playing a lot more reserved compared to the early and mid game. Yet again it was Yao's time to shine, winning the team fight for LFY and securing the Aegis for his team, but not before him and his team mates found three more kills on the IG.V heroes, denying their attempt to contest Roshan. Feeling confident with the Aegis at hand, LFY breached IG Vitality’s high ground and at the 40 minute mark and forced out the GG call.
Game Two
Facing elimination, IG.V first picked Riki alongside Slardar, Oracle and Gyrocopter for burst damage and Dragon Knight. LFY responded with the Timbersaw again, Earth Spirit, Terror Blade, Dazzle and Sand King, focusing on team fights.
LFY drew the First Blood thanks to Monet, giving him an excellent start as a Terror Blade. Riki played a crucial role early on, securing Dragon Knight's win on mid lane. Early game, the two teams looked balanced, exchanging kills and towers on both sides, the net worth slowly favoring IG.V by 2.5k gold. Around the 16th minute mark, LFY gathered for Roshan, but quickly realized that IG.V were fully aware of their attempt so the two teams collided in a team fight from which IG.V emerged victorious with four kills to their name. Shortly after, LFY claimed Roshan and managed to team wipe IG.V, placing Monet's Terror Blade on top of the net worth.
As the game reached the 30 minute mark, Terror Blades presence started to be strongly felt for the enemy team, costing IG.V four heroes and a T2 tower mid lane.
IG.V heavily relied on InJuly's Slardar to land the Amplify Damage in order to take down the Terror Blade. The plan succeeded, thus the Radiant team managed to take down four heroes from LFY thanks to Slardar's ultimate. The tides of the game quickly turned as LFY won another team fight around the 33 minute mark, adding an ultra kill to Super's name on the Timbersaw. Not long after that, IG.V claimed Roshan for themselves while Monet looked to claim Gyrocopter's Ancient stack. The game went backwards and forwards for the two teams till the clock hit the 44 minute mark, moment when LFY fell to a big team fight, losing Dazzle and Earth Spirit as well as a set of barracks.
The situation got complicated as the game moved on for IG.V as Monet had put all his gold on a Monkey King Bar, easily erasing four enemy heroes off the map and holding the base twice. LFY didn't lose their momentum and rushed down mid lane, killing four heroes from IG.V yet again.
Terror Blade's buy back was the key at that moment for LFY, who went straight for T4 towers and the base, taking the series 2 - 0 against IG.V.
