The Korean and American divisions of Star Series are under way as we are approaching the regional and global finals of this season. We have not had many upsets so far in either region, with Evil Geniuses and MVP Phoenix leading their respective groups.

The American division of Star Series has just begun, without any major upsets so far. The recently crowned victor of Monster Invitational, EG, is currently sitting on top of the leaderboard with two wins in two games and six points. Behind them is Revenge and Team Liquid with the same statistics. The last place of the final four is shared by Team Dog and Osiris gaming, with both scoring one win in their two games. One minor upset is the one of eHug and Swageinteiger (now team CNB), with the newly sponsored squads failing to achieve any positive results in their games.

The American division continues with Evil Geniuses facing Dignotoss, with the latter recently losing to Team Liquid. Both teams need the victory, with EG attempting to build a secure lead in the group, and Dignotoss going for their first win this season.

The Korean division is even more one-sided, as MVP Phoenix is currently in front with five wins in five games, grabbing 15 points in total. They are followed by BirdGang, who are equally successful in four games. The third place is occupied by Monkey Spanner with three wins and two losses, and MVP.hot6 is the fourth contestant with two wins in four games.

It remains to be seen whether MVP Phoenix and BirdGang will carry on with their impressive performance. One thing is sure, one of them is going to lose on March 14th, as they are battling each other at 9:00 CET. If BirdGang manages to take down MVP Phoenix, they will snatch their fifth win and climb on the first place of the leaderboard.

For both the American and Korean divisions, the top four teams in the end of the groupstage will move to the regional finals, with the winner moving on to the global LAN finals at CyberArena in Kiev, Ukraine. The LAN finals are scheduled to take place on April 17th.
