The first match of the day is over with Fnatic coming out on top, outplaying iCCup and taking a quick 2-0 victory. Next match is Kaipi vs VP.

Fnatic outplayed iCCup heavily in the first of the semi finals, iCCup was not really performing their best while Fnatic was on one of their most merciless moods, punishing iCCup for every mistake and making it all seem ever so easy. The victory seeds Fnatic forwards into the upper bracket final, while iCCup will be given a second chance in the lower bracket.

Virtus.pro continued their recent upswing with patient and mastered play in the match vs Kaipi. Kaipi tried some signature funk, such as Spirit Breaker and Timbersaw but Virtus.pro was not impressed. They allowed KP to have their fun for a while before taking control of the match-up and claiming the victory.

Match report - iCCup vs Fnatic

?Game 1

Fnatic drafted an early Vengeful Spirit, which isn't too common but Fnatic.Fly is known for playing the HoN-version of the hero. H4nn1 got the first blood all by himself when he killed off Resolut1on in the mid lane. Seemed like Fnatic predicted the lanes wrong and decided to switch it around, sending their trilane from the enemy side to their own safe lane. Resolut1on kept giving away kills to H4nn1 in the mid lane and things were getting out of control. H4nn1 is a player who gets very dominant if getting a good laning phase. Things looked well for Fnatic even though Jackal was farming away, using the good start they had to snowball in the mid game, getting track kills and towers.

The Orchid by Queen of Pain helped killing Jackal and disrupting his farm and H4nn1 kept roaming the map together with Trixi. iCCup tried to split push and farm up but with little success, eventually they were forced to defend as Fnatic pushed their bot lane. A great Song of the Siren in the middle of the fight undid all damage by Fnatic while still having their big spells on cooldown. However, it was not enough, Fnatic proved too strong, they overthrew the fight and won the first game.

Game 2

ICCup went with the offensive trilane, a decent match-up in which they performed well, grabbing first blood and second blood. Resolut1on struggled throughout this game as well though, matched up solo vs Razor. The constant Static Link spam forced Resolut1on out of the lane but with some great rotations to the trilane, he scored iCCup a few kills while Mag was pushing mid. Well chosen clashes and great plays by Fnatic allowed them to recover and seize the advantage. Great play by Era using Infest to dodge a killing blow, getting a kill himself with the damage by it followed by denying a tower.

H4nn1 played old school with Shadow Fiend with the items Black King Bar and Dagger, roaming around razing everywhere. Similar to the previous game, Fnatic started snowballing and just went steam roll mode on iCCup, taking advantage of the lacking hp pool of the enemy line-up, especially with Shadow Fiends aura together with Acid Spray. Fnatic overextended slightly though, dropping a few heroes outside iCCup's base and iCCup proceeded to take Roshan. Fnatic licked their wounds, recovered, picked up a Skadi on H4nn1 and started pushing midlane. Era and H4nn1 just went base diving and iCCup could not defend their supports. The game was over and Fnatic took the match 2-0.

Match report - Kaipi vs Virtus.pro

Game 1

Kaipi likes to change things up, and they did so once again this game with the second-picked Spirit Breaker. The hero was used solely to keep Charging Storm in the mid lane, resulting in three early kills for Kaipi, all in the mid lane. Prophet punished CMW one time for it, but the second attempt went awry and KSi died as well. VP decided that enough is enough and placed the offlane Earthshaker in the mid lane, guarding Storm from further dives. But since he couldn't stay there forever, Storm kept going down. However VP kept TP scrolls close at hand to atleast get a trade off the times Storm got killed. A Spirit Breaker with Ion Shell is no joke.

Meanwhile, Pieliedie positioned himself at the top lane, pushing away the creeps from the tower to ensure it still standing. VP had at this point started to get a hang of how to deal with Kaipi and responded well to the aggression. Illidan's Lifestealer was diving two towers to get a kill on KotL and quickly infested a nearby creep right after, thus preventing the two nearby KP heroes from killing him. Great Earthshaker play by NS, the lockdowns of Lion as well as his merciless finger kept Kaipi at bay and Virtus.pro were pulling more and more ahead. Virtus.pro proceeded to take down Roshan while defending most of their towers. Illidan was getting ridiciously big at this point, especially when teamed up with the Medallion debuff from Prophet. Kaipi's heroes melted like butter. Virtus.pro pushed in through the midlane and Kaipi threw in the towel.

Game 2

The offensive trilane as well as solo safelane by Kaipi worked out well, they got decent farm while shutting down the farm of the opposing heroes. Mid lane however was lost, as so often seen versus an Outworld Devourer. The push power was lethal from VP, Chen came in to quickly push down two bot towers together with Lycan and Prophet. VP then initiated a massive pushing spree and took down all outer towers. With all those towers gone, they were carrying their needed items to start sieging the top lane. Essentially they just forced their entry and Kaipi did not have a proper answer for it, they brought Illidan down during the push but it was too late and the disadvantage too big. Envy tapped out the "gg" and Virtus.pro won the series.
