Following the rapid expansion of the eSports scene, GomTV's Mr. Chae announced today that the October finals of the GSL will be flown over to Anaheim to join hands with Blizzcon 2011.
GomTV will bring their production staff to California in order to organize the first ever overseas GSL finals. Mr. Chae explains that this move is influenced by the great lot of tweets requesting such an expansion and his desire for StarCraft 2 to not be like Brood War, the latter being exclusive to people inside of Korea.
Thus, this enterprise will allow the fans that have bought Blizzcon tickets to hit two birds with one stone, enjoying two great events at the same time.
Blizzcon is the place where Blizzard celebrate and commemorate their three franchises: StarCraft, WarCraft and Diablo. The sixth edition of Blizzcon will be held on October 21-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
